Condolences

Condolence From: Marc-Andre GUY
Condolence: I first met Turbo at his new acquisition in Prince Edward county. He had just purchased and moved into his new, soon to be, retirement home. It was a beautiful, massive house by the water with an indoor hot tub and pool, that he was proud to show off. Once Turbo learned how to balance the water in his hot tub, it became my new favourite time of year, the boys weekend. We had to listen to the same Turbo stories year after year, but it soon became a tradition spending countless hours listening to Turbo tell those stories with a huge smile on his face. I learned one crucial lesson from Turbo, how to make guest feel important by making them think you purchased an expensive bottle of Whiskey, by refilling the bottle with the cheap stuff. Thanks Turbo for all the great memories, but specially for making such a great boy, man, husband, father, hockey player, and what I like to call "a great Friend". May you rest in peace as we continue to laugh and recount your amazing stories.

Condolence: Tom has been a part of our family’s life for as long as I can remember. He was a great friend of my parents and embraced my brother as one of his own. We knew we could always count on Tom to be there for us whenever we needed him. We realize how precious life is when we lose significant people like Tom too early. Tom’s smile and laugh were contagious and unforgettable. He never ceased to bring a smile to my face and joy in my heart.
I hope Tom can bring light into the hearts of his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
I will always carry fond memories of Tom with me... Rest In Peace until we meet again Tom. My thoughts and prayers are with Pat, Barb, Andrew and their families.

Condolence From: Andrew Rowntree
Condolence: To me Thomas Elliot Wise Rowntree was: courageous, helpful, loving, vindictive, revengeful, protective, caring, financial advisor, financially stable, thoughtful, smart, and most of all my dad!

He was always there for me to chat with and about anything that was troubling me. He had this ability to make big problems seem simple and less complex. He always had a solution for my problems. Now I am left with a big hole inside.

He was always available to give a helping hand to anyone who was in need. Even if things were outside his skill or knowledge level but found it to be a challenge and would show up with good cheer. He could enter a room and would slowly win the room over with his stories.

Every year we would have boys weekend. My friends would instantly call him dad or Turbo from his working days. My friends became his friends and he had many special relationships with them.

Over the years, he volunteered his time to coach hockey and volunteered his time with charitable organizations. This was done to make the world a better place.

His love for my mom, my sister, my wife, my kids, his family, and friends has made me the man I am today. Although I may shed tears, it is not tears of sadness, it is tears of happiness for life, and tears of joy for him making me the person I am.

Condolence: Tom you will be sadly missed. You were my go to guy no matter what time of day or night it was to come and give me a hand with my broken up cars and bring a bottle besides. You were my perfect co-pilot coming back from the cottage after dropping off my boat and going into a blizzard. Who thought we would be in a blizzard in November. Rest In Peace my friend.
