Cremation Services

Since 1998, members of the staff of Quinte Cremation and Burial Services have provided low-cost cremation services to individuals and families living in the many communities of Hastings County.

Until recently, we had to partner with local crematoria to provide these services; but legislation in 2012 made it possible for us to establish and operate a crematorium. This truly benefits Hastings County residents: not only does ownership allow us to lower our service charges ; it gives us complete control over the care of your family member throughout the cremation process.

This means at no time do we relinquish our responsibilities to a second or third party. From the moment you sign the required paperwork giving us permission to take them into our care, to the time we return their ashes to you; your family member will be the focus of professional, yet compassionate attention.

Why is this important? It gives families added peace-of-mind. In choosing direct cremation with us, they've discovered there's a high degree of comfort, because we:

  • Provide secure shelter for a deceased family member prior to their cremation.
  • Respectfully, thoughtfully and professionally tend to their care during the cremation process itself. Follow all familial requests and directives in the return or disposition of their loved one's cremated remains

In short, all necessary attention is given to ensure the proper cremation care of the deceased, all the while being fully aware of the emotional and practical needs of their surviving relatives. For more specific information, we urge you to read our Cremation Services page. Burial Services

Direct burial is exactly as it sounds: it is the relatively-immediate interment of casketed remains without ceremony. The body is transported to our facility; sheltered, casketed, and then escorted to the cemetery of your choice for burial. The low cost of our direct burial services makes it a very affordable option for Hastings County families. For more information on the subject, visit Burial Services.

Repatriation Services

International repatriation can be complex, but we are aware of the many inbound shipping conditions set by the Canadian Border Service Agency and the complexity and variety of global repatriation shipping regulations. Call us at 613-962-7900 to discuss your loved one's repatriation process.
