BADGLEY, Margaret Elizabeth (Haggerty)-
Margaret Elizabeth Haggerty Badgley, 87, of Foxboro, joined her Lord Jesus on March 10, 2017.Born in Stirling to Morley and Eva Haggerty, she graduated from Teacher’s College in Toronto and retired as a Teacher after 41 years. She married her soul mate of 65 yrs Irvin Howard Badgley on April 12, 1952 at the West Huntingdon Church. Irvin became her loving and devoted caregiver for the last 3 yrs of her life, their endless love for each other grew stronger throughout their life of travels around the world.
Margaret was a proud mother of her retired Police Officer son Gary and her daughter Angela who graduated as a Nurse from the University of Toronto. She loved being a grandmother to Kevin, Bryan, Sarah and Tara. Marg took comfort in the love and support from Rob Orpen her son in law & Cameron and Jackelene family to Gary and Melissa Brown fiance to Kevin who became a few of her family treasures. She was a devoted long time member at the Foxboro Emmanuel United Church as a Sunday School Teacher and as a lead soloist for the choir, she was the president of U.C.W & member of the R.T.O and A.D.K. Sorority.
She was a loving sister to John Haggerty and sister in law to Ron, Reg, Eugene and fond memories of her predeceased sisters in law Betty and Shirley. The Family will have a private service at a later date at the Elmwood Cemetery and a Memorial in celebration of her life will be held for friends and family in the coming months. Many thanks to Quinte Cremation and Burial Services also, special thanks to the 5th flr. Medical staff at the Belleville General Hospital.
