Obituary for Steven Earl Gilbert
Gilbert, Steven (Grizz) entered into rest at home peacefully after a battle with cancer on February, 4th, 2022. Just 5 days shy of his 65th Birthday. Steve was the son of William and Elsie Gilbert ( Gracie). Steve was a beloved, devoted and soulmate to his wife Lucia (Lucy) Gilbert. Stepfather of Chris (Stephanie) Jonk and Popps to to his grandson Hayden. Predeceased by his Dad, William and brother Bob Gilbert. Steven is survived by his sister Donna (Gary) Windrim and Bill (Tracey) Gilbert.
Steve was an employee of A+P , then Metro, at the young age of fifteen until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, where he had to leave his Metro family but were always in his thoughts and memories.
Boston Bruins was Steve's favorite hockey team. Steve also had a faithful and loving companion in his Dog Boston. Steve will be sorely missed by his friends and extended family. As Steve would say "Go Boston Go and win the Stanley Cup".
