It is with sadness that the family of Roy Hayman announce his passing at home on April 29th, 2020, in his 94th year. Born in England, Roy is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean, and by his 5 children: Alan Hayman (Jane), Susan Lavigne (Marc), Ian Hayman (Heather), Janet Hayman (Richard) and Lesley Hayman (Jeremy). He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Kimberly, Samantha, Erin, Erica, Lindsay and Gregory and by his two great-grandchildren.
Roy immigrated to Canada in 1954 to work on the Avro Arrow and then worked for the remainder of his career at the Dept. of National Defense in Trenton Ontario. He was a skilled craftsman, enjoying building cars for the racing world and was renowned for his incredible talent. Roy will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Cremation arrangements have been made and a private service will take place for the family at a later date.
