Our much loved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, affectionately known as Grandpa-do, peacefully passed away on March 11, 2023 in his 96th year.

He is survived by his six children: Catherine Mondoux, David (Ellen) Mondoux, Louise (Ken) Roberts, John (Mary) Mondoux, Mary Ellen Sewell, and Peter Mondoux, his step-son Robert Schmidt, his 13 grandchildren: Paula Mondoux, Ben Mondoux, Tessa (Jeff) Leong, Corinne (Kayle) Kreamer, Michelle (Vincent) Mignot, John Roberts (Jackie), Anna (Mark) Campbell, Marie (Rob) Ainsworth, Joshua Sewell, Rebecca Sewell (Gurnihal), Emma Sewell, Michael Mondoux (Jiyoung), Evan Mondoux (Ashley), many great grandchildren, his brother George (Lourdes) Mondoux, his sister-in- law Joanne Mondoux, his cousin John Pare, former sister-in-law Patricia Irwin and his nieces and nephews. Dear lifelong friend of Dr. John Sullivan (deceased) and his wife Pat of Timmins, and Kurt and Betty Speth (deceased).

Born and raised in Timmins and a graduate of the University of Toronto (Chemical Engineering 1949), Ron started his professional career at Alchem Limited, Burlington, ON, working his way up to Marketing Manager where he met his long-time business associate and friend, Barry Hambley (deceased). After eighteen years, his career took a major shift when he joined Eimco Process Equipment, eventually becoming Senior Vice - President alongside his good friend and Eimco President, Stan Styke (deceased).

After his retirement from Eimco in 1995, Ron started his own consulting company, Fluidtech Process Incorporated specializing in water treatment technology. He worked with Anthratech Western Inc. (AWI) of Calgary to develop and market their products and services and was their eastern Ontario representative. He was very close to Phil and David Hambley and all the AWI family. Finally, at the age of 85, Ron fully retired after a total of 63 years in the water and waste treatment industry. He is quoted as saying “I loved every minute of it!” He also skied Whistler for the final time that year!

Ron had a wonderful life, full and rewarding, always friendly and positive. We will hold our many memories close; his warmth and intelligence, the twinkle in his eyes, his genuine smile and his frequent whistling! He was a wonderful Dad and Grandpa.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Fairmount Home in Glenburnie, ON, for their loving and compassionate care for our father in his last 18 months of life.
