I met Pat at age 10 , 1966, just after my family moved into Roseland Acres. He was my first friend in the years we lived there and we had such great times during those years , usually around the old cars Maurice would bring home to make into race cars to run at Brighton Speedway. We moved away in 1974 and when I came back to Trenton in 1975 on my own , we resumed our friendship. As life went on, we lost touch , but in the late 80's I made the trip to Trenton and tracked him down . I was only able to get that way occasionally but always made it a point to stop in, and the Pats would always offer me a bed for the night and a meal. The last time I saw Pat was after Pattie had passed and Pat was very ill with the COPD that robbed him of what he loved the most, being in the shop, and just having the strength to care for his family. I was friends with Pat for 54 years and now that he is gone, I will never forget the trips up Canal Road with Pat steering that race car while Moe dragged us with a chain and smashing into the back of the truck lol. Rest in Peace Pat, tell your parents hello for me and give Patti a hug. I love you brother. Mike Mullins, Collingwood Ontario
