Obituary for Mark Richard Van Wart
It is with great sadness that the Van Wart and Taylor family announces the death of Mark Richard Van Wart who
passed away on June 25, 2022 at age 65 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on April 26, 1957, and was a
long-time resident of Stirling, Ontario. Mark has left behind his loving wife, Liz whom he was married to for 31 years. They had a blended family of 4 children; Jana and partner Lee, Colleen and partner Peter, Andrew and partner Tammy and his daughter Samantha. Mark also had 9 grandchildren; Mathieu, Nathalie, Bella, Aidan, Olivia, Nadia, Daniel, Fiona and Gabriel and two Great Grandsons Grayson and Oliver. Mark felt truly blessed to spend time with Paul and Jane MacKinnon who were not only long time friends but also as close as family. Mark was a passionate reader who also enjoyed spending time camping, kayaking and watching the ducks float by. He was a long time follower of Coronation Street and his favourite T-shirt read “Real Men Watch Coronation Street”. Strangely, Mark loved to clean house (he had 3 Dyson vacuums) and mow the lawn and was sad when the cancer robbed him from doing these things. One of his goals was to be able to collect Old Age Security and that happened last month. Goal met, way to go Mark.
