October 05, 1928 - December 27, 2020
Marg died peacefully at Trent Valley Lodge in Trenton, ON, on December 27th, 2020. Devoted wife for 48 years to the late William (Rayburn) Wood. Cherished mother of Anne Wood and Lori Heasman (Darrin). Sadly missed by her granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Logan. She was a loving sister to the late Doug McGee and daughter to the late Lindsay and Eva McGee.
Marg was a dedicated teacher for over 39 years and she taught grades 1-6. She started her teaching career working in country schools and she taught at Stirling Primary School for over 30 years. During her retirement, Marg enjoyed travelling and gardening. She volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Care, Stirling Performing Arts Committee and the Stirling Fair Board.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ranjith as well as the staff at Stirling Towers and Trent Valley Lodge for their excellent care and kindness.
If desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life in Spring 2021.
