Lana Joyce Rogers (nee Rice)
August 1941 - June 2021

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Lana, in her 80th year, on June 7th, at QHC Belleville General Hospital, in Belleville, Ontario.

Lana was predeceased by her beloved parents, Harold and Jean Rice, and her brothers, Hal and Richard (Elizabeth). Her youngest sister Barbara (Babs) in Las Vegas, will miss her dearly and their daily conversations. Aunty Lana will also be missed by Lana and Doran and their families.

Her daughters, Tracey (Stacey), Kelly (Paul) will always keep her close in their hearts with many memories and their family visits to her home in Trenton.

Lana’s grandchildren, Jessie (Kyle, great grandson, Henry) Ryan and Ariana, will remember their nanny fondly.

Born in Montreal and residing in various places over her liftetime, namely Toronto and Trenton, Lana had many family and friends that she remained in close contact with and who will miss her greatly. Special mention of Lana’s endearing friendship with Claire and her family. Childhood friend Donna and family, Godson Pearce (PJ), and her friends at Riverview Residence, to name just a few of many bonds Lana cherished.

Lana was an avid reader, talented knitter and proudly participated in the Terry Fox Run for over 25 years. Lana always maintained a strong faith and attended mass often, forming a friendship with Father Tim at her parish.

Thank you to the doctors and staff who provided Lana with the best of care. The family extends their appreciation for any donations made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Lana.

Arrangements are entrusted to Quinte Cremation and Burial Services. A memorial service held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Trenton, will be advised at a future date.
