Obituary for Joseph Donald "Don" LeFort

Lefort, Joseph Donald -

Born April 28th, 1939, was joined by his predeceased wife Lillian at Heavens Gate on Saturday October 10, 2020. Don had fought in his battle with cancer. He was an incredible Husband, Father, Papa, Great Grandpa (Pappy) and Friend. Don was the patriarch and Pillar of Strength of the family. Everyone went to Don for support, wisdom and unconditional love. Don would do anything for anyone and was always putting others ahead of himself. Don was highly respected wherever he went. He loved spending time and being involved with his family. Don had such a passion for life. Golfing, the Seniors Centre and his Seasonal Trailer Park were among his favourites. We know he is truly happy and pain free up in Heaven, dancing the days away with his beloved Lillian. Loosing him is truly a void that can't and never will be filled. Don is survived by his two daughters: Arlene (Peter) Martin and Lynn (Donnie) Scott. He said goodbye to his five grandchildren: Danielle (Jason) Coons, David (Amanda) Martin, Cory (Cindy) Lefort, Kyle (Raf) Patterson, Cody (Meghan) Patterson and four great-grandchildren: Locklyn, Ryden, Hailee and Rilynn.

"God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the eath, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's farden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone...for part of us went with you the day God called you home".

We Love You
