Obituary for John Allan Kettlehut

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Allan Kettlehut on October 25th, 2022, with his wife Debbie and daughter Liz by his side. John endured a short, intense battle with pancreatic cancer. He bravely came to terms with his fate and kept strong for those close to him. John was predeceased by his parents Allan and Madelon.

John leaves behind the love of his life, wife and soulmate, Debbie. He also leaves his loving daughter Liz and her children JR, Peyton (Caleb) and Carmela. John also leaves behind his heartbroken brother Gary (Rowena 2015) and sister Melody (Bruce) and nephews Glen, Jim and Rob who shared many interests with their uncle. Also left behind are stepsons Mike (Mandy), Paul (Shelby) and Richard (Courtney) and their wonderful children who will all miss him dearly. John was born February 26, 1957, in Vancouver B.C. into a military family which fueled his passion of the RCAF. That zeal turned into an encyclopaedic knowledge military aircraft and of modelling RCAF airplanes with infinite detail. John was renowned for his quick wit and sense of humour.

The family would like to thank the staff of TMH as well as Hospice Quinte for their kind and compassionate care. Special thanks also go to Mike MacDonald, for his unwavering support and compassion for John and the entire family.

A celebration of life will be held later in 2023.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Hospice Quinte in John’s name.
