Obituary for Jean Ella Caulfield (Wigle)

Jean Ella Caulfield (née Wigle), beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Mother-in-law, Aunt and all around friend, rode off on her celestial ATV Saturday April 2nd, 2022. Born April 14th, 1929, she suffered a stroke while feeding her horses and died peacefully at the wonderful Quinte Hospice.
Active all her life and an inspiration to all who knew her. As an avid rider, she and her husband Eric rode well into their retirement with the Frontenac Hunt Club - she was in her 80’s when we asked her to stop riding. As a public health nurse she advocated tirelessly for children and families in need, and as an early feminist she was a founding member of her union (ONA) in 1973.
Lovingly known as "Wig", "Moo Moo Bunny lips" or more reverently as "Mrs. Lips" she tolerated many names with the customary grace of a stoic.
Jean's strength, humour and character live on in her children Martin (Deirdre) and Andrea (Scott) and her grandchildren Alex and Teagan, Dustin and Emily.
Moo we love you forever.
