Obituary for James Wellington "Jim" Hamilton (Hamilton)

Hamilton, James Wellington “Jim” – Long-time resident of Cannifton, and died on Tuesday March 17th, 2020 , at the Belleville General Hospital, in his 80th year. Predeceased by his parents Bruce and Edna (Kincaid) Hamilton, wife Margaret Anne Hamilton (Parker), and sister Shirley. Survived by his nephews, niece, cousins and friends Ann and Michael McDermott, Margaret Hagerman, Lorne and Jean Hawley, and Dawn Chambers. Jim was known for his love of euchre and selling maple syrup in the spring. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date. Two of his favourate phrases were “ What do you think of this day?” and “We can’t be pick and choosers”. A special thank you to all the caregivers at Quinte Healthcare for their compassionate care.
