During his life, he was involved in Scouts Canada and was a dedicated member of The Salvation Army Church as a bandsman, pianist, songster leader, singing company leader, and Sunday school teacher. He also participated in Men’s Fellowship and organized Red Shield Campaigns.
He had the pleasure of taking part in musicals, one of which he directed. He enjoyed downhill skiing, boating, woodworking, gardening, and he was a creative landscaper. He loved music and had many talents including playing a variety of instruments. He found great enjoyment in spending time with family and friends socializing and having sing-a-longs.
