Obituary for Isobelle Alice Baker (Mountney)
ISOBELLE ALICE BAKER (MOUNTNEY)
APRIL 13 1945 - MAY 13 2023
It is with profound sadness, we are announcing the passing of our mother in
the evening of May 13 from her battle with cancer at Kingston General Hospital in her 78 th year.
Her faith kept her strong. She lived her life on her terms and never gave up knowing that she was in
God’s hands and was good with what he decided. Her attitude with this illness never fazed her. She
went on living her life despite the many appointments she had. Our Mom was strong and courageous
through the whole ordeal.
Predeceased by her parents Alice Mountney-Telford (Malcolm), William Russel Mountney and husband
Clifford James Baker.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters Cathy Crowe (Tim Elliott), Sandra Boulter (Dave). Brothers
and sister Leona Maracle (predeceased Wayne), Marvin Mountney (Robin), Brian Telford and Shawn
Telford. She is loved and loves her grandchildren Michael Crowe (Krista), Cynthia Boulter (Stuart
Bowen), Amanda Boulter (William Elliott) and her great grandchildren Hudson and Bowen Crowe.
Isobelle loves her service to the Salvation Army Church and their affiliated charities. She liked seeing her
plants and small garden grow and bloom. We will miss her baking and she made the best meringue for
lemon pie ever. Mom enjoys running the roads for small or big adventures.
As per her wishes, there will not be a service or celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, the family would
appreciate donations to Quinte Hospice or Salvation Army.
