Helena Maciuszonek 1923-2021
Our beloved mother, grand-mother and great grandmother, Helena passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Witalis. Loving mother of Brigitte Kasprzak (late Ted) of Ameliasburg and Krystyna Dube (Gabriel) of Arvida, Quebec. Proud babcia of Anne Swearingen (Scott), Michael Kasprzak (Sherry),Stephanie Dube, Veronique Dube (Sylvain Boivin), Karine Dube (Keven Tremblay), Michelle Kasprzak (Douglas Fraser) and Jacob Kasprzak. Great grandmother of Jordan (Ryan), Damion (Emily), Natalie, Hannah, Gabryel, Laurence, Emma, Maryka, Alexanne and Isla. Helena immigrated to Quebec in 1949. She was always involved in the community, both in Quebec and Ontario. She was very proud of her accomplishments with St John Ambulance, achieving the rank of Commander in the Order of St John in 1992. She enjoyed time with her family. She was a key personality as Granny at Granny's Restaurant and Bakery, as well as supporting many pierogi sales at the Waterfront Festival as part of Quinte Polonia.
