Obituary for Grace Isabel Gummow (Whitney)

Grace Isabel Gummow of Colborne, passed away on March 15, 2022 at Cobourg Hospital in her 96th year. Born in Scarborough on September 21, 1926 to her parents James Whitney and Nellie Risebrough.
Grace was the wife of the Late Roy Rogers and the Late Morley Gummow.
Predeceased by sister, June Beene (Late Noble) and her brother Carmen Whitney. Survived by brother Murray Whitney and her sister Eileen Brunson (Late Albert).
Isabel is predeceased by her son James William Rogers (Vicky) and by daughter Shirley Elizabeth Long (Late Jim). Loving Mother to Evelyn Gruber (Late Jim Chapman) and David Gummow (Mary). Loving Grandmother to Anthony James Rogers, Angela Smith (Keith) O'Neil and Roy Robert Rogers. Also, Brenda (Raymond) Andrus, Michael (Cora Stevenson) Long, Natasha (Patrick) Callaghan, Brittany (Rene) Guillemette and Alyshia (Scott) Booth. Grace was a Great Grandmother to her 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. She was loved by her fur babies Shadow and Kitty for always guarding her purse.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to Community Care, Lihn Program, Dr. Perrara and the Staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg. Isabel's many friend at Colborne Presbyterian Church and the Horticultural Society.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Grace can be made to The Dementia/Alzheimer's Society or the Mental Health Association.
The family will hold a private graveside service with a Celebration of Life for Isabel at a later date.
