Obituary for Donald Andrew McDonald

Donald Andrew McDonald (1941 – 2020)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don. Donald was born on July 12, 1941 in Timmins, ON and has left this world on May 1, 2020 in the Belleville Hospital. Don lived in Trenton for the past 33 years. He was a proud Viking and enjoyed being raised on the Langland family farm in Northern Ontario during each summer break. He worked in the mines in his early years then decided that Military life was for him. He worked in the Canadian Air Force as a Tel-Tech for 27 years and retired with the rank of Master Warrant Officer. After retirement he became a passionate home Chef for his wife and son.

Don enjoyed many things in life. He liked reading, darts, politics, crossword puzzles, Scotch, helping people and loving animals, and visiting Mexico. Don was well known for sharing his sense of humour.

Donald was the son of Ethel (nee Langland) and Andrew McDonald. He was predeceased by his sister Dale (Larry Beaudry). He is survived by his wife Debbie, his son Carl, his cherished cat Smokey-Blue, and his many Langland Cousins.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been made. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date.

Donations in Don’s memory to QuinteHumaneSociety.com; TMH or BGH Foundations would be appreciated.

MAY THE VIKING ROAR; AS MY LIGHT HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. I will Love you Forever.
