It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald (Duke) Henry Boxell on May 9th, 2022 in his 79th year.
Husband of Sheila nee Greenly, father to Cheryl Burkitt (Bruce Hooey) of Fenlin Falls, Douglas (Colleen) of Campbellford and Mark (Laurie) of Campbellford. Grandfather to Derek (Chris), Kirsten (Andrew), Jessica (Josh), Lindsey (Ryan) and Yolanda (Jody). Great Grandpa to Finley, Ada, Raelynn, Eastyn, Evangeline, Rhowan and Christian. Loved by his extended family the late Ted (late Ruth) Boxell of Manitoba, Reg (Rachel) of Alberta, late Marg (late Fred) Brooks of Winnipeg, Doreen (Bruce) Seymour of Hamilton, late Mel (survived by Kaye) of Campellford, Raymond (Mary) of Campbellford and Wayde (Rosemarie) of Georgetown. Retired owner of Duke's Bait and Tackle. Duke loved spending time with his children, grand children and great grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and having the occasional drink with family and friends. Duke will be fondly remembered by many friends and family. At Dukes request, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 4th, 2022 at the Vimmy Reception Center at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 103 in Campbellford from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Donations to the Campbellford Legion or a charity of your choice.
