Born January 27th, 1949 in London, England, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27th, 2020, at Hasting Manor, Belleville Ont. Dear mother of her Son, David Currie, his wife Amanda, and proud grandmother of their daughter, Ashelyn, all of Oro Medonte, Ont. Loving sister of Beverley Thackaberry, and her husband John, and fond aunt of Paul and Laura, all in England. Mourned also by her friend of many years, Ken Carson, of Peterborough, Ont. and her cousin, Cilla Cross of Halifax, N.S.
Denise emigrated to Canada in 1969. In Toronto Denise worked as a tailor, having proudly completed her training in Seville Row, London, England. Denise enjoyed her new life in Canada and lived for many years on Victoria Park Ave, Toronto. When she met her future husband, David Donald (deceased 2006) she moved to Belleville and was married in 1996. Denise enjoyed the children she cared for in Belleville. Denise was very friendly and outgoing and met several friends, both in Toronto and Belleville. In recent years, her very good friend, Shirley Hamilton of Belleville, was very good to her as well as Margie Clarke of Belleville.
With heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Hastings Manor, Long Term Care Home, Belleville, who took such good care of Denise over the years she was resident. Following Denise's wishes, there will be no funeral.
