Obituary for Brenda Jane Caldwell (Galbraith)

Brenda Jane Galbraith Caldwell: February 14, 1955--April 28, 2021
Predeceased by her much-loved Mom and Dad, Betty and Reg Galbraith and her grandparents, Fred and Ethel Scott. Also predeceased by her two children whom she adored, Meghan 1990-2004 and David 1985-2012.
Brenda grew up as an only child. Since she had no siblings, she 'adopted' sisters and brothers---among her adopted family were Susan Bennett, Jane Slater, Marlene and Steve Glass, Ann and Pat Murray, Paddi Sinclair, to name just a few. In 1997, she was found by her half brother, Carl (Linda) and was adopted into his family. Later, a special girl walked into her life, Brandi, and then a beautiful grandson, Jacob (to be followed by Hallie and Hannah).
After graduation from the Nursing Program at St. Lawrence College, Belleville, Brenda worked and settled in Trenton. She had a wide circle of friends including her entire nursing class, a lot of high school friends and pretty much everyone she met.
Don't be sad. I am now with David and Megs. We will watch over you. The frost on the windows in the lovely patterns, we will be drawing them. The sunsets and gentle breezes will be us saying hello. I truly believe that we will see each other again.

Following covid-19 restrictions and at Brenda's request there will be a small, private graveside service led by her longtime friend and pastor, Jon Strand.
Donations can be made in Brenda's memory to Sick Kids Hospital Toronto, or The Canadian Cancer Society.
