Jeffs, Matthew James – Passed away at home in Belleville on Thursday October 19th, 2017, in his 50th year, after a seven year battle with cancer. Beloved son of Jim Jeffs (Pat Meldrum) and the late Carol Jeffs (Reid). Much loved father of Justin Jeffs. Dear brother of Peter Jeffs (Kim) of Port Credit. Survived by his aunts and uncles; Jack Jeffs (Barb), Charles Jeffs (Marlene), Mary Reid, Glen Reid (Susan), Doug Thompson (Jean), Freida Way (Edward), and Beverley Thompson (Gord). Loved by his nephews Reid and Colin Jeffs. Matthew will be sadly missed by his cousins, extended family, and by his many sailing friends. In keeping with Matthew’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club on Saturday October 28th, 2017 from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m..
