Murphy, Norman Vincent (Norm) – Passed away at the Belleville General Hospital on Thursday September 14th, 2017 at the age of 54. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Frances Murphy. Loving husband and best friend of Karen Louise Murphy (Jones) for 18 years. Dear father of Curtis Murphy (Grace) of Ottawa, and Tyler Murphy (Erin) of Shannonville. Proud and loving grandfather of Charlotte. Survived by his “adopted in heart” daughter , Hannah Thompson, of Belleville. Dear brother of Carol Peet (Greg) of Dartmouth, N.S., Sue Smith (Don) of Peterborough, Maureen Murphy (Steve) of Dartmouth, N.S., and Erin Murphy (Kelvin) of Hamilton. Cherished son-in-law of the late Bud and Kaye Jones. Dear brother-in-law of Debbie Jones of Guelph, and Dale Jones of Kingston. He will be missed by his several nieces and nephews. Norm had a long and respected career in restaurant management, he is in the Restaurant Hall of Fame and received multiple “Store of the Year” awards. He was most famously known for his role as operating partner and general manager of Kelsey’s Restaurant in Belleville. Most recently, Norm managed XIX Nineteen Restaurant and Bar, which was his dream job. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Norm’s life at the XIX Nineteen Restaurant and Bar, at the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club, 1849 Old Highway #2, on Sunday September 17th, 2017 from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oncology Department at Belleville General Hospital, or Fixed Fur Life, would be appreciated.
