Obituary for Elizabeth "Liz" Fry (O'Donnall)

FRY, Elizabeth (Liz)-
Born in Workington Cumbria, England on May 21st, 1947, Liz passed away at the Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, May 11th, 2017 at the age of 69. Liz served in the Royal Air Force for 6 years, where she met her future husband, Nicholas Robin Fry, in R.A.F. Akrotiri in Cyprus while both serving there. Married in December of 1970 in Workington, and returned to Cyprus for a four month honeymoon (as well as finishing their overseas tours). In October of 1975 Liz came to Canada with Nick, and moved to Belleville in the summer of 1977. She also is survived by her son David (Chrissy) of Belleville, and brothers James and Anton of England. She was adored by her three grandchildren; Peyton, Xavier and Kilian, and will be sorely missed by them. Predeceased by her brothers Billy and Michael. Liz spent her time in Belleville working at a restaurant on North Front Street for many years, that operated under many names and had several owners. While there she provided what is arguably many of the best breakfasts in town. She was a behind the scenes supporter and resource person for the local members of Scouts Canada. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to QUINTE CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICES LTD. 205 N. Front St. Belleville (613-962-7900). If desired, donations to the Quinte Humane Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation are appreciated.
